The Lunar Effect

Yes, Your a Lunatic, I’m a Lunatic, We are all Lunatics

Understanding the Moons Effects on the Human Body and Menstrual Cycle

The lunar effect has been honored in ancient times, and has always held a significant place in human culture and spirituality. Common understanding and practice of the moons connection has nearly been lost in our modern world. This knowledge and way of living is returning. Despite lack of evidence for correlation between phases of the moon and behavior of everything on earth, this phenomenon persists in its innate truth. The effects the Moon has is a phenomenon where  an increase in all behaviors (of everything) during certain phases of the moon. The moon has a powerful effect on our bodies, influencing everything from our emotions to our menstrual cycles, even the behavior of animals. There are 12 moon cycles, 12 zodiac signs, 12 months of the year, this is not random, this is reality. The moon effects your health, your energy and especially your mood. As the tides change, our bodies change as well. Just as the oceans swell at night, our watery bodies wax and wan with energy and emotions. To understand this one must notice their own experiences and then compare them as they coincide with the moons phase. The moon has a profound effect on our physical and emotional well-being, particularly in relation to the female menstrual cycle. Here is a simple overview of the science and intuition behind how the moon impacts the human body and the importance of living in harmony with its natural cycles.

The moon's gravitational pull is so strong that it affects the tides of our oceans, and it's not surprising that it has a similar impact on our bodies, which are made up of at least 60% water. Studies have shown that during the full moon, hospital admissions increase, and people may experience more intense emotional responses, including anxiety and stress. Menstruation, when allowed to be regulated naturally, without birth control, will flow with the new moon or the full moon and will flow between these moon phases during a woman fertile years. The moon's cycles align with the menstrual cycle, with a typical cycle lasting 29.5 days, just like the lunar cycle. Women may experience heightened emotions during the full moon, as well as an increased desire for intimacy. Understanding the moon's effects on our bodies can help us navigate our emotions and menstrual cycles more effectively.

Living in harmony with the lunar cycle involves taking grounded actions to honor its natural rhythms. This can include practicing self-care, such as meditation, yoga, or a movie night at home, during the new moon, and focusing on maximizing your creativity or releasing negative energy during the full moon. Doing so in a women’s full moon circle always does the trick for me. Additionally, aligning our daily activities, such as eating and sleeping, with the lunar cycle can lead to a greater sense of balance and harmony in our lives. So staying up late or waking up a getting on the phone or computer works against this natural compost of our human being. I advise the buffer the screen time around waking up a sleeping.

In conclusion, the moon's effects on the human body are profound and undeniable. Understanding and honoring its natural cycles can help us live more harmoniously with our own bodies and the world around us. By taking grounded action to align ourselves with the lunar and menstrual cycle, we can tap into our innate power and achieve greater physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The moon has been an object of fascination for humanity since the beginning of time. We have used her light, as a source of illumination and guidance, and she has been recognized as a symbol of fertility, femininity, beginnings and ends. The moon's influence is the greatest hand on the greatest clock affecting all on earth as her position changes.

So yes, you are a lunatic, we all are. We all are effected by the moon and her power. Why? Simply because. Because we are all connected. We are all energy and we all flow together. How do I give in to it? I go with my emotions. If my body says rest, I take a nap. If it wants to go out and explore, I get with some girlfriends or take my kids to a park. When I can’t sleep? I look at the moon and often it happens to be a full one. So what do I do? I go out side a sit and stare at her, maybe cry, or feel comfort. It depends on what my body is needing.
